Mammals are warm blooded. This help mammals live in a variety of different temperatures. Some mammals live in freezing temperatures while others live in very hot temperatures. They can live in many different environments including land, oceans, and fresh water lakes. They have hair or fur .They drink milk and also they have backbones.

Reptiles are cold blooded. They can regulate their own body temperature. Reptiles are coverd in scales. Scales are used for protection. They are ready to go at birth. And they do not need a parent to watch over them.
There are some important facts from both mammals and reptiles. From mammals they are about 4,000 different kinds. They are all need to be cared for by their mother or father. While the reptiles are breathe through their lungs, but some can also absorb oxygen in water through membranes in their mouth. Some lizards can change colors to blend in with their surroundings. Snakes and lizards are two of the largest groups of reptiles.

Both reptiles and mammals also have their similarities. Some of these are they both give birth, they can both live in similar places, can both breath through their lungs and can both have good survival skills.
